Hello everyone im on my 3rd grow but it seems like my seedlings are taking awhile to pop soil.(FYI- THEY are in a cup of soil with clear plastic cover). Ive checked on them and they have popped and a few of them are popped and shell gone and a little tail. Question is -- they are taking awhile to pop the soil and i have put a light on the soil to warm it up and i am wondering if this is what i should do or should they be completely dark? What will make them sprout quicker? Any advice will help.

You want warmth. Try puting in warm area. On cable box or stereo near computer can warm up soil. It helps that the soil is warm underneath. Did you germ first or right into soil?

It seems to me that it works better to germ first then as soon as they crack put into soil. But it works either way. I would keep at medium warm temp and give it a couple days.

before you water the soil shake up the water for about 30 seconds and water them. the seeds tail will sprout faster when they have aerated water. and dont water to much.
