would it be possible to do this ???

i have a ak 48 that in a waterfarm hydro bucket syyem by hydrofarm. She has been vegging in the WF for 2 months now and about 2-3 weeks ago i switched the lights to 12/12 and ever since then i have been having knat problems in the roots of the plant.
So i was wondering if i took the plant out of the WF bucket, roots and all. And put it in a 5 gallon smart pot ...

I would leave all the roots in the best shape i could. I will then take out all the hydroton pebbles and pull out the plant with the roots and all ...
Then imediatly bury the roots in the suneshine mix4 that i always use ...

is thia possible ...???...

Its just too hot and humid for me to try and take it any further with this hydro thing ...I'll wait till winter ...

thanx ...:leaf:...

hydroponic roots are mostly water absorbing roots, soil roots are both both air and water roots. The plant has a good chance of a slow death if you transplant. I looked into it, wanted to hydro some trees and plant them outside after like a year or two

I've taken a plant from my LPA cloner/veg and transplanted it right into some Ocean Forset with the 3' in cube and all :) It took awhile to get going again but it is putting on growth agian from what I heard as I had transplanted to give to another patient. Here's a few pics.
