is it better to plant a germed seed, wait for it to sprout then turn on the lights or just plant the seed in soil and turn on the light right away?

i turn my lights on right away. i figure they gotta know where to go.

I wait for the sprout, then keep the cfl as close as I can.

i did em the other way my first time and it worked fine i just put black plastic over the pots but now if you check my gallery with the t5s i turned them on right away now just waiting thanx bro

I turn my lights on right away because they are in there with other plants and besides the seeds need to be kept warm.
