How do I ventilate a closet with a 600w hps in it? There isnt any windows, so I'm pretty clueless. I've never actually had to vent out my closet, but witht he new hps Im going to need to.

well if its completely closed off, you cant ventilate it unless you open the door or go through an attic or something. All you would be doing is circulating air. In order to ventilate you have to have a source of fresh air.

So Im fucked as far as being able to grow in my closet?

its basically going to be like growing in your bedroom, assuming you have windows in your room.

I'm using a closet that is on the top floor of my house and next to the eaves on the side, so I have a 4" duct fan (you can buy these at home depot, but they will require some wiring) stuck in the ceiling venting into the attic, and another 4" hole (closed off with an adjustable cap - also from home depot) near the floor that opens into the eaves. Seems to work good for me!

The only thing you *need* is someplace to vent to!

I think we've already discovered he doesnt have an attic to vent to. The only vent he has is the window in his room.

How much does it cost you?

As i'm not really sure what a duct fan does, I'm assuming its like that fan in the bathroom, that sucks air out. Am I right?

Yeah, This is the only place in the house I can grow, because people come over alot. Any more Ideas?

If you're really desperate, you could try just recirculating the air in the room. Just the movement of air is going to dissappate heat and should lower your temps. Just make sure the air leaving the fan is going up as far away from the plants and fan intake as possible. You're definately going to need a good oscillating fan as well. It's not ideal, but it could be workable.
