Hey everyone first of all I just registered for this site, so whattup

Anyways...im getting a 1-2 bedroom apartment soon and I wanted to just grow 1 or 2 plants for personal use. I have a ton of questions that need answering so if you could help me out that would b amazing. Im a decently educated person so im pretty sure i could pull this off no problems but:

1: Is it easier/better to go hydroponics or just grow it the old fashioned way.

2: I plan on using my closet...for just up to 2 plants, what is the exact lighting that I need, thats not too expensive, I'd like to use fluorescent lighting (although if there is a cheaper way im all for it). Also, I know that with new technology and thermal imaging, etc. police are able to see which houses are using too much power and are able to see potential grow houses, is this going to be a problem even with the small amount of marijuana i am growing?

3: What are some really good seeds to get for first time growers (fast growing, easy, etc.) and i've heard that Amsterdam seed bank Online is a good and legit place to get them or is it better to buy the seeds here?

4: One of the BIGGEST things with me is hiding the incredible odor that the plants give off, i've got an oscillating fan what are some techniques I can use to almost give off no smell at all (money isn't a factor as long as it's not overboard).

5: I can figure out the whole what type of soil/plant feed and other things to get for the plant...but what are your recommendations (specific brands, etc.) or other things I can do to keep my plant healthy...u know, just basic tips

Well if you are new to growing I would keep it simple and start out in soil. I use PRO-MIX but I have heard great things about FoxFarm's organic mix.

Your going to need to grow at least 4 plants from seed to get your 2 females. In regards to lights I think a 400w HPS/MH combo would do the trick here. Thermal image does not reveal how much power you are consuming. TWO different things here. Just pay your bills on time, I wouldnt worry about this part.

World Wide Marijuana Seeds buy seeds there. This site (rollitup.org) does not sell seeds. They do have sponsors however. I say start your first run with some bagseed and fine tune your setup. Then bring in some quality seeds when you got some experience under your belt.

Copy this design and build this unit to fit your space. I have built 3 of these now and love it. I have people within inches of my plants and a few feet from my exhaust and no odors at ALL. No one suspects a thing. I used 6" and 8" tubes on the last one. Get your active carbon from EBAY not the fish store as suggested in the link.

DISCLAIMER: I have never tried his method - but he is a well knowm fixture on these boards. I have read the book (and watched the DVDs) and it appears to be an excellent method for a small CFL grow on a budget.

how long have u been growing? 4 plants!!!!! didnt even think of that

I would say about a year, I made several attempts in my younger years but am more serious now. I am still very new and learning stuff everyday and nothing compares to experience. Since growing is a rather slow process so is learning
