Default sprouted seeds how long till they break soil?

so i have 2 sprouted seeds around 1/2 long they are both in soil now with a 40watt cfl on them. i keep the soil moist to about a 2 inch depth.

they have been in soil for about 1 day now and are planted about 1/4 to 1/2 inches deep how long till they will break soil?

Maybe next day or 2. Did you plant them root down? Keep em moist, not too wet and you will see them soon.
