I have a 600 watt setup powering a 400 watt Phillps HPS (45k lumens). I borrowed it for about a month so I dont want to break my budget but I was thinking about upgrading my bulb to a used hps from the hydro store for 5 bucks. I wanted to know what was the main difference between a 400 and 430 watts (other than lumen output)? Is there a specific reason why one would choose either or? Their both 5 bucks so point me in the right direction...lol

get the 430 the more watts the more money on elictric but i would go with the 430 for more lumens

a 430 implies that there is a 30% increase in the blue spectrum of the lamp, and 10,000 more lumens than your standard HPS bulb. k thx

so for 30 more watts its a fair trade-off

yes, the 430 watt son agro, is a sweet bulb in my opinion, i use them for veg with great results and I've flowered with them many times before also with great results , great choice if you are using one type of lamp all the way through.....i also found i get even better veg with the 430watt hps than i do with a MH for veg, so i still use them for my veg them flower with 1000 watt hortilux hps....
