Hey i have this 150 watt hps outdoor security light and was going to create a cool tube set up for a stealth. This might be a stupid question but i just want to make sure. Can i just cut the socket off and just link extenention cord from the security light to the socket for a ghetto remote ballast?

You could but for safety reason's most people probly wouldn't do it, but hell with it if I wanted ghetto light damn it i'll have me some. One thing tho I would use some type of heat shielded cord to run to the socket, otherwise it will bake off the insulator and short out, pm me i'd like to see how this one work's put for ya

So no reall problem with this..?? I just seem to have to use a strong guage cord with a thick insulator? Tight, no problem. Im eventually going to get around to building a ballast but i just want to get things started and plus i couldnt find any electrical boxes at a local hardware store that would contain my whole ballast. Any big hardwar stores should have them right? You could call me lazy or you could call me ambitious, but idc, i want some buds bottom line. yeah i hope there isnt any reall problems but logically there doesnt seem to be any as you say.
