you want to use a fert that has more P-K than N. most ferts like this should be labled as some kind of bloom booster.

This is what I use most of the time (98%). It's a two part solution that works great from start to finish.:

    Fulcrum MS: 5.1-0.0-0.9

    Autumn MS: 0.95-2.5-5.1

People get freaked out when they see those numbers. But what they don't realize is that the solution I make up has everything a pot plant wants and needs through out it's entire life. I never have problems with my grows. Never!!! I try and try to get people to use these nutes along with my nutes schedule and ppm mixes which took me years to develop. But no they want to talk crap and tell me different. But that's ok with me because I just sit back and admire my beautiful plants, but even more the wonderful high!

Growing in soil in my opinion is a great waste of time, money and effort! I've been there and done that 20-25 years ago, yet I still don't understand why people like to have problems with their grows! Oh well, each to his own.

Oop's This wasn't about me! Sorry!

I would prefer to not grow in soil. But i also don't want to deal with a hydroponic system, i see your pics of plants in rockwool, are you just watering the rockwool?

I use rockwool most of the time now. So much nicer to deal with. I have a hydro spray system and a home made eb flow system I use once and awhile.

I use a 2 gal. and or a 5 gal bucket filled with my solution depending on the size of grow i'm doing. I do the dunk method.

In time i'll get my gallery updated and show pics of this.

After dunking them in my solution they are placed back in the grow room. In my grow room I have a plastic grill, kinda like you see in ovens, but made of plastic. Plants are placed on this to let them drip off the excess water/solution. Then they are placed back on their normal resting place.

Not sure what you mean by how big the rockwool gets. When wet? Or when the plant develops/matures?

from your pics it looks like you keep them in the rockwool so obviously they will have to go into bigger ones, like with soil the rule of thumb being 1 gal of pot space for each foot of growth. sorry for the thread hijack! is there somewhere we can discuss this? i've been interested in growing non soil but as i said i don't want to grow in a hydroponic system, and i hate dirt, espeically sweeping it up after transplants and the such!

p.s. I've been looking for a somewhat exact nut schedule and i did imagine it takes a while(years) to develop an almost perfect routine, so i wouldnt talk crap or tell you different!

I use 4x4x4 cubes and the plants stay in them all the way to harvest. I'll take some time out and put the whole thing together for you so you can make a better decision about the way I grow. I'll send it to you by private message and or by a new thread. But ignore my grow journal, that's a different system I've worked on and use only on special strains.
