This is my first grow i'm doing from a plant I got from a friend who was growing outside. I have brought the plant inside and tranferred her from the soil pot to a 5 gal. bucket with hydroton as my medium and after just 5 days i notices what looked like white pistold with almost red to amber tips coming out of the leaves. I have her under (2) 2ft. T5 CFL's at 6500k on an 18/6 cycle. It looks like the plant started flowering while it was outside however I want to know if I can still revert her back to vegitation to use as my mother plant or just put her to flower ? I am using General hydro's Flora micro, grow&bloom as my nutes and have (6) 360 sprayers set to feed every 2hrs. for minute sprays. Since I am only working with this one plant is it necessary to use a 400watt HPS for flowers or should i use a 250 to avoid too much heat? Please advise as I do not want to ruin a perfectly good prescription... I have added a few pics to see if anyone can see the plant and can give me some advice... Thanks

you'll have to reveg otherwise you'll get next to nothing with thiose two tubes.
A single plant would only require a 250 watter. I'd start vegging with that till it gets about a foot tall, maybe top it so it branches out more.

Cool thanks for the quick answer, so u saying those 2 tubes aren't worth using? Which lights should I go with? And after I top her off do I just toss out the top?

The plant look's realy small for it's age,i'm not a great lover of re-vegging after a plant has started to flower. The stress a plant will go through when put back into vegging after it has started to flower will effect the yeild, but saying that looking at the plant photo's i don't think you will get much from her any way.Far better to start with a fresh plant a clone if you can get one if not seed, the price of nice strains are not that expensive to buy these day's.If you are gonna start indoor growing then start with fresh stock and think out the grow area before getting started.

nope the tubes aren't worth using for anything for seedlings and clones. I was assuming you already had a 250 watt light if not then get a 400 they don't cost much more and you have a better selection of bulbs to purchase. Let your plant grow a couple of weeks then top it and try your luck at cloning it.
Yes you can veg with HPS if you can only afford one light. If you can afford it get a digital ballast and a 6500 K MH & 2700 K HPS for flowering (they will both work with a digital ballast)
