Co2 in an 8x12' area?

Well ok that sounds good but to save me research what brands of regs and or flow meters? Also if you buy a tank then a reg then is it something else that is the flow meter? How do you get the co2 from the tank to over the plants? hoseing of some sort? I have seen a water cooled propane unit but those I am not sure of either. I wonder if they might be cheaper but i thought they did not need a flow meter as the other person said but a chiller for the water maybe?? Thanks for your help.. What, if any, brands of regs/flow meters would you want to stay away from..?

Try the tool below. Buy a regulator and flow meter. I bought mine on ebay for about $115. I bought a 20# tank from my local carbonic shop for about $120, it was new and full. Look for Airgas (name brand store in USA) or places that sell fire extinguishers. Lastly use the tool at the link to calculate flow. Set flow meter and your set. Good luck

So that is 1.56 cubic ft /hr. How long again then would a 20lb tank last?

Optimum Flow Rate: 0.13 cubic feet / hr

1lb = 8.741 standard cubic feet CO2 So:

Optimum Flow Rate: 0.13 cubic feet / hr
I did this math, 8.741 divided by 1.56 = 5.60.. That is the optimum flow reat at 0.13 times 12 hours = 5.60 cu ft a day so if 1lb has 8.741 cu ft/lb will not the math be a 20lb tank times 8.71 x 20, then divide that by 5.60 for the flow rate per hour x 12. Thanks.. Does that make sense??? Seems like a 2lb tank would last a whole grow almost.. Hmmmmm I am all over the place I know but I am sure I have it right some how or do I .....

Hey man, I don't mind helping but your asking for too much information. You could try and do some of the work yourself you know. I don't know all of the different flow meters on the market. I bought one and it works great. If you take a few minutes to go to a web site and look at their meters and instructions you could answer your own questions. I just don't have the time to come to your grow and do it for ya bro.

Its really not that difficult. Before I bought my regulator I spent some time learning about them. You've been given several methods to use. I even told you a step by step for the tank method. Just call them and say "whats your cheapest 20# co2 tank"? If you want to simplify my scenario go buy a co2 controller too. You can just set the controller and hear your plants grow. Good luck to ya!

Just trying to clarify what a tank set up needs. Have seen food grade tanks, industrial tanks and well you can't ask them what to use for your plants. But ok.. Just wanted to know if a flow meter was the same thing as a regulator and or what u need to get the gas to the plants like a tube or what but ok I will not ask more.. Thanks for all the past info..
