ive been told a shit load of stuff about flushing and everyone's is different. my first grow and im 3 weeks away from harvest. using fox farm soil and prolly gonna flush 10-14 days from harvest time. should you flush with sugar also? ive heard some good things about it. then just use plain water for the final flush 3 days before.

you will find many opinions on this. i am of the opinion that you should add just water for the last 10-14 days. herb does not need sweetening. this is a bs commercial trick. if the genetics are sweet and the herb is happy, then you will have sweet herb. there any many flavors that Cannabis expresses, and sweet is just one. what's your genetics?

alright thats what i figured. alot of people do a lot of different things for flush. thanks for the input. i got 7 sour deisel plants looking very dank for my first grow.being a sativa how long would you say to let em flower? i was thinking right at the end of ten but now ive been reading to go till week 11 or 12

sour diesel does take a long time to finish. i can't tell you for sure, so you will have to examine the trichomes for cloudy/amber. i will tell you that 10 to 12 weeks is normal, and if you have experienced any stress if will be on the later side of this harvest window. the top of the plant will mature before the bottom (a common sativa trait), so look at buds in the middle if you plan to harvest the whole plant.

more on sugars. molasses and sucanant are the two common products for sweetening. they both have micronutes which you do not want to add late into flower as this may affect smoke quality. some get past this by using refined sugar, but that is garbage, let the plants express their true nature. peas
