Mushroom Compost - Any good?

hi all,

my mate im growing/living with suggest we use Mushroom compost, he said he's used it before on outdoor plants he's had and believes it works quite well.
Anyone on here used Mushroom compost before? and how did you find it? also are there better ones out there then Mushroom?

good stuff, but not so great for pot all by itself.....

add a bag of perlite, and a small bag of good starter soil or black kow compost. mix and mix and mix and you'll have a great soil from star to finish.
