Males often tend to be more vigorous growers, but it doesn't always hold true. Don't rely on it to sex the plants before they start showing... you might end up throwing out a perfectly good plant. But from my experience, it's usually the case that males and hermies tend to thrive a little more. Don't quote me on it though.

I'm not sure if they grow faster but they seem to have more space between nodes. and perhaps have growth spurts or something in the vegetative stage. I've had females shoot up fast that I've thought were males but weren't.

ya well I just found out one of my plants was a male im 11 day's into flowering so I threw that bastard out =(
