Ok i have a simple method if you can work in cubic meters.

call your room 2x1.5x2 making a 6m3 room

I read this calculation a UK based Hydro Website.

You should now multiply this number by 125 making a need for a fan capable of 750m3/h just for active heat removal. If you add a carbon filter onto this then you can reduce the m/3 an hour by 20% making it a 600m3/h fan.

If it were me i would choose 2 RVK150L1's 750m3/h

You could also try a new brand of inline fan on the market which i will be choosing when i upgrade my flowering closet.

http://www.hydroponics-hydroponics.com/pd-150mm-6-extractor-fan---budget-ventilation.cfm

The company is AirteQ and they make a 690m3/h fan for £59.99

£30 cheaper than the RVK's.

They are a relatively new company so i think this price will go up as their reputation becomes better.

Something else you could try and i cant believe i didnt think about it before .

You could have both of your fans as exhausts. ONce connected to an air cooled light both with carbon filters attached and have passive intake vents that are screened to pull ambient are from the room where your grow is located.

As long as the Passive intake holes are big enough (1sq ft hole for 1000m3/h of fan power) then the temps within your grow should stay within a few degrees of the ambient room temps where your grow is located.

By passively pulling air into the room through the holes you wouldnt have any smell leaks outside of your grow room.

As long as all air was passing through Carbon filters the smell would be dealt with coming out of the exhausts.

Wtf..

I replied a while ago but it doesn't seem to have appeared.
Anyway..

Thanks for all the info, I'm gonna talk to my growing partner about it and tell him the options we have.
