ok i just watered my babies and went ahead and did my first ph test with my new testing supplies, i picked up this probe soil ph tester and an aquarium ph tester (only thing i could find)

my soil ph tester tells me slightly acidic at 5.8 and the water tester shows the runoff almost nuetral 6.4

which tester do you think i should base my ph? should i average the two together or go with one or the other? i always read its good to be in between 6-6.5 so i want the best for my first timers

I would go with the probe, but you can also average them like you said.
