cool white bulbs are the 6500k, and warm white which you want for flowering is 2700k, i'd say go to cfl's, cheaper and better for small spaces, i have 1 plant growing and i have 4 27w cfl's on it ,and it's loving it, u will need about 7-8 lights for the 2 plants, or else your not going to get hardly any bud at all with next to nothing for light.
As for $$ i spent $12 canadian on 3 cfl's in a pak, so no more then $20 US i think

Light's on
It should say on the package the bulb comes in. Try the Ecolux versions of the flouro's but also look into warm white cfl's as well.

Yeah if cfl's are better then id rather go with those...am i ready to go with strictly warm white cfl's for flowering now?

if you have already begun the 12/12 cycle, then yes get those warm whites as soon as possile make sure they are 2700k bulbs and get the highest wattage possible...usually i think they are 42w, but if not then you'll have to go for more 27w bulbs, either way, you need the red end of the spectrum, also i heard that getting the energysaver bulbs are better, easier on electricity i presume.

Surrounding your grow with vertical floros has been the best way to use them on single or double plants. Floros lose light quickly as the leaves get further from the source, so vertical lights that are long distribute the light to upper and lower parts of the plant, not just the top. Thats the principle of those Phototron light systems, which I do not reccomend buying for the fact they are too small to produce more than one small plant and cost a fortune. For 10 bucks each you can get 4' floros just about anywhere, usually with bulbs included. 4 of these can make one plant grow well for beginners til you buy a 4 or 600w Hps to put above your 4 verticals for bud time . The lower branches definitely benefit from the side lighting during budding and it's cheap. Don't knock it til you try it!!
