I don't claim to be an expert in cannabis cultivation -- I'm only on my second grow -- but I've learned and read enough information on the subject to know that there is a TON of disinformation here in the newbie forums spread by inexperienced growers who, frankly, don't know what the fuck they are talking about.

To those of you looking for advice, be forewarned that answers to your questions may or may not be accurate. Check the post history and rep of the individual offering you help and decide for yourself whether or not you should follow their advice.

If you're asking basic questions about growing, like about what kind of soil or nutrients to use, how much lighting, etc., chances are you haven't read the Grow FAQ. Read it first by clicking here: http://www.rollitup.org/view.php?pg=faq

Finally, if you are inclined to try and help someone out in here, PLEASE PLEASE make sure you are absolutely positive you know what you are talking about before replying. If you are unsure but want to help anyhow, be clear in your reply that you are not 100% positive that your advice is sound.

Not trying to stir up any shit, but some of the answers in the Newbie forums are absolutely ridiculous and a total newb is not going to know any better. I would hate to see a first-timer fuck up their grow because they followed someone's poor advice. Just a reminder to those folks that you can't always believe everything you read on the internet.

I find it funny how even though while I have only grown once, I still feel I have a certain expertise on the subject, just as you do. I suppose it is because marijuana takes so long to grow, and in the downtime all we do it study on how to do it better! Works for me.
