Is cfl lighting, basically fluorescent lighting? Is it refering to a certain type of fluorescent bulb?I did a search and found nothing that answered such a question.

Stands for compact Flourescent lighting. You can get some of htem with fairly high (6500_lumens) etc.

Yeah, CFLs are basically those flourescent tubes that are made to fit in a regular light bulb socket.

I guess that I am just frustrated. The site I listed covers most everything about cfl's but people seem to just want one or two sentence answers. Dude the site I listed even has pictures!

maybe you should have to read through the basics as you sign up, then there would be no excuse.

Yeah I like to give people instant answers. I personally like to absorb as much information as I can constantly. Throughout the day if I hear a reference from the news, a word I haven't heard before, or anything that I don't know about I instantly go to the PC to find out about it. And now thanks to wikipedia.com I probably learn 10-30 new things a day. If I'm bored I'll just go onto wikipedia and use the random article link and read about stuff that I never even would have realized existed.
