i WAS LOOKING AT A 400 WATT SUN SYSTEM WITH A COOL BREEZE TUBE. cAN YOU GET THESE CLOSER TO THE PLANTS THEN THE MANUFACTURE SAYS. tHEY SAY 2-4 FEET ABOVE PLANTS. tHE LIGHT COMES WITH TEMPERED GLASS SO i WAS THINKING THAT MOST OF THE HEAT WOULD BE PUSHED OUT OF THE TUBE WITH THE VENT FAN. dOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS WOULD BE ENOUGH??

you can get the cool tubes very close, a foot to 18 inches away from the canopy

ive got a 2, 1000 watt HPS bulbs in home made cool tubes. mine are smaller than the ones your looking at. i think the ones your looking at are 6", and mine are just 4". but i have my lights no more than 1' above my plants. i thinks its more about air flow than anything else. ive got a major fan to blow air acroos the lights. i can all but touch my cool tubes while they are running.(its no hotter 6" away from the tube than it is in the rest of the room. i cant remember exactly how much i spent but i would say in the ballpark of 40.00 for both.

How did you make the cool tubes? I've made an attempt, but i ended up just buying a premade tube

I sometimes let my plants get 6" away.
