All 42 watts I've come across in stores were 2700K whether labeled as so or not... (I've got daylight cfls in my frontroom, completely different color of light...you can seriously see the difference) The more lights the better...


My VERY first grow.. in the closet, under cfls, skunk bagseed.

Ya the difference is the color. A 6500k or around that spec. number. This is the blue spec. The name used is daylight or cool white.

The other is 2700k or around that spec. number. This is the red spec. The name used is always soft white or warm white. And if the package doesn't say anything is most likley is soft white.

Jomal I don't know what numer you are looking at but it sounds like that might be the lumens and not the spec. k #.

Finally someone who got it right! LOL.. everyone always gets the names, numbers, and color mixed up....

That's good for veg, but for flower you're gonna want the 2700K. Try to find the 40 watt 2700s. Those would be the best if you're not gonna go HPS.

Hey Jomal, take them back and go to walmart they are half the cost. Or keep them and buy more at walmart. I got 2 for 6.50
