Alright, just joined this forum but have been reading your posts all day which has helped a lot in determining how to go about growing. Anyways, im starting the conversion of my closet to a grow room. I have placed an order for a 400w HPS and might use a few CFLs as well, my walls are already flat white and its a very small closet. I'm hoping to be able to grow 6 of LowLife Seed's Automatic AK-47 (LowRyder x AK-47). I have some Perlite but don't really know what soil to use yet. If anyone has any suggestions or any experience with this strain and has any tips beforehand, please reply.

PS. is there any way i can grow without my electric bill going up too high?
i like the idea of hps, but seems way too damn consuming for me, im on a pretty tight budget

I would just scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "soil" link and it will bring up users post on soil. That way you can pick from the options u have in your area. i.e. hydroponices store, walmart, or just local gardening stores sadly for me I don't have many options.
