Default Quicker Drying With Silica Gel?

Does silica gel quicken the drying process? If so, how much faster would the bud be drying? I'm just curious cause i'm thinking of putting some bud in these containers i have with silica gel filled caps. Can anyone tell me if it makes any real difference?

if i cut all the bud off the branchs and store them in containers with the silica, would that be enough to protect them from mold and shit like that?

Im not sure...it would depend on the amount of silica I supppose. and you will still want to burp them. Plus silica gets to wet and wont absorb anything after a while....when that happens you have to put it out in the sun or stick it in the oven on low heat to dry it back out. if the bus is very wet you would have to dry the silica often.

don't put them in containers right away.
let them dry out in an open area where it is dark and cool.

then you can put them in the containers to cure. if you put em right into the jars chances are you're going to get mold and best case scenario it'll take ages for it to be ready to smoke.

well thats why he was gonna use silica gel....it sucks the miosture right out

but what you could do is take that silica and use it in a cardboard box with all your bud inside it
