Default Mylar, hot spots

I just switched from soft white paint to mylar. It seems that mylar creates a whole bunch of hot spots. The fan kinda blows the mylar a bit and thereby blowing the hot spots around as well. I'm just wondering if these hot spot are normal and/or harmful to the plants.
