Default Is this a good starter kit?

I am going to start growing soon, and I came across this:

SH Hydroponics > Dual Spectrum Bubbleponics™ Complete Kit

My plan is to upgrade the lights to the dual spectrum II lights, should the kit work fine? i will be growing inside a closet.

You can grow a plant to full maturity from a clone in about 8 weeks and from seed in about 12 weeks or so, give or take...

3-8weeks veg (3-7 day germ) and 8-12weeks for flower, it will shave of a week or 2 throught the process, faster veg, but for the most part its the exact same time as a soil..... Yield will depend on veg and how the plant is taken care of, the plant can double even triple its size in veg, during flower.

SOrry it took so long to get back to you!!

You could, but with some strain 8-12 weeks are need just for flower, and 3-8 weeks are need for veg (clone/seed). Less time to veg from clone of course.... The system is great, especially for a new grower, but you can only grow 1-3 plant in there completely (more like 1-2). Its to small to support more than that. I took my system and broke it down and put all the stuff(and some extras) in a 50gal rez, and i have 3 MOSTERS!!! growing, with another soil grow. I will be havesting in mid-late Dec!!

after i bought the exact kit in question, this is what i wish i had done. ended up w/ a 400w mh b/c it was all i could afford ($60), in soil. would still like to try hydroponics, but the sh system turned me off of it for awhile. it is a decent setup, for about $30, plus the two bulbs. it is absolutely overpriced and simple enough that anyone can do it themselves. there are even kits on ebay that are almost exactly the same for about $35. do yourself a favor, dont be impulsive like myself, do more research and build one yourself. FilthyFletch has some very good diy info.
