I am coming into the home stretch of my grow room.. and now my only concern is ventilation......

My setup is 10'x8'x8' in a basement... I'm in the northeast US so it is down to the 40's already and the boiler is right behind the grow room but the basement has no heat. The temp is getting down to the low 40's already and I am assuming I will have to get some heaters in the room to maintain the temp...

I can also leave the basement door wide open for ventilation as well for intake. I cannot use the basement window (the only one) for exhaust however due to neighbor issue.....I am sure (hopefully) overall temp will not be a problem.. Well at least no overheating.

I am concerned with localized heat from the lamp (1000w) and I have the flanges on the reflector for venting it. But I am not sure what is the best way to go about this.

Would I just have to run an inline fan on one end and have to cut a hole in the wall to run the air out from the ducting on the other side?

Similar basement to my setup. Mine is just a bit bigger but I don't have much for ventilation apart from leaving the door open.

I think you may need all that when it comes to spring time, but for now I would take the added heat as a blessing, then add maybe one other heater. No use venting hot air out then using electricity to power a space heater in order to get hot air.

See what the temp gets while running the light, in the room that is.

OK, your lamp isn't ventilated though?.... My main concern is the plants getting close to the bottom of the light. My resovoir is about 2 feet. Which leaves my table setup close to about 3 ft than with the light fixture being almost another 2 feet.... Doesn't give my plants much room to grow in between and they will be touching the lamp most likely come harvest time.
