Default cfl problems please help
I daisy chained two porcelain fixtures together and installed them in onto the roof of my box. The problem is that it seems one fixture is hogging all the power. The other one just flickers and wont start. How do I get both fixtures to work properly. I would like to run 4 23w cfl bulbs in two fixtures with Y adapters. I shouldn't have to run separate power cords. Should I? I mean if you have a vanity light that has 3 or 4 fixtures in a row and put Y adapters in all of them to total 6 or 8 lights, that wouldn't seem to have any problems. Or I guess I should say from what I have seen on rollitup, nobody has mentioned any problems like that.
thanks for your input

You only need one power cord to run your 2 sockets, try rechecking your wiring, outlet and bulbs.

I have 12 bulbs and 400 watts on mine with one power cord take a look

Thanks man, I think the socket must be broken, but the other one works just fine.

Those are CFL's you can get them at any hardware store. How long it takes your plants to grow a foot depends on alot of different factors; genetics, lighting and environment, topping. You could use low stress training and keep them short and bushy. Read up in the FAQ's for awhile and you'll find ways to help control it.

As far as fluro's being able to grow as well as CFL's I really dont think so (but they are great for clones and seedlings) check out this thread its a bad ass comparison CFL vs FLORO vs HPS

As far as keeping them shorter than 12" grizz is right, LST is great way to go here's another thread that helped me out How To LST (Low Stress Training)

hope that helped out good luck man
