they are streching for light, can I just use atother 60 watt light in the closet with them till I can get a few CFLs. they are getting too tall.i already had to use a paper clip to help one from falling over, one it has stresched another half inch since last night. what should I do?

move the lights closer if you can

I think he has incandescent bulbs... so moving them closer will only cause more heat stress.. i would guess..

YOU know what you can do - wait until you get the CFL... which should be RIGHT NOW!!

Then cut your plant in HALF....not by height but by nodes... cut off HALF the nodes...

Stick that top half that you cut off.. into a piece of rockwool (wet) and turn it into a clone...

GET more than 1 CFL.. get at least 3 CFLs.. you will be soooo glad you did...

nope cant do that the light is right on top of them.
and no money is my problem so the CFLs have to wait 3 days.

And if you can't even afford a simple CFL, I wouldn't put too much thought into growing. Not at least until you can put some decent cash into it, because you can grow with some low shit, but if you really want some big beautiful buds and plants, you're gonna need a good 100-200 bucks to put into some HID's or a ton of CFL's, not to mention plant food, soil, and the electricity.

If you have nothing nice to say say nothing at all. I seem to be doing just fine and there are quite a few people on here it seems that cant afford some really expensive lights. I am sorry I work for a living, and live pay check to pay check. I have got everything else I need except those damn lights!! which I will buy on friday when I get paid. till the I am just going to have to live with what I got I just wanted to see if there was a way to help them in the mean time. and since no one seems to have a suitable soulotion I will figure this one out on my one but thanks for trying guys.

Man I wasn't tryin to be an ass, just saying basically it's a waste of time because your plants are never as healthy as they should be and you get dismal returns compared to what you should get. I do take back my statement when I said you had to get an HID - CFL's will do, but any less than that and it's a lost cause.

Just tryin' to help you man, because I was in the same boat at one point. I JUST got my first HID, so I meant nothing negative. Plus, usually the cheap are too young to be growing in the first place. If you have to hide your crop from people that live with you, usually it isn't such a good idea.

I am just doing this for me and myself alone, not hiding it from anyone really. except the MAN. Not too young just in a bad situation at this point in my life cant afford to buy it so i figured why not grow? I am sorry too I am having a bad day, spent all night up with my other half he was sick. no sleep makes me grumy and then I snap. any ways Friday I am buying Some CFLs probably 4 of them and maybe dome diff soil, and a timer for my lights. Financial problems suck you know that...I hate the man they just keep taking from the ittle guy and leaving us fucked....
