Why should I top my plants?

i should have topped :/

Kinda makes sense ya know. Dont top and you wont have that great of penetration when plant gets bigger. Top and you can have a nice even canopy.

I have been getting feed from both sides of people on this. One saying that if you grow and do not top you get more bud and u end up getting a huge cola that usually gives you more weight then topping. I also have heard that topping gives you more colas and they get as big as it would without topping. Does topping actually give you more yield? Any input is great. Got them under a 1000w MH for veg with Co2 will flower under a 1000w HPS with ac unit and will keep humidity at about 20-30% max. Temp will be at 70 degrees and I am using advanced nutrients A & B. Here are some pics I took today 4 days after last pics. Used Co2 for 3 days this week will stop using for next week to see differance.

Here is a few pics 5 days later after I topped the OG Kush and the Bigger Ice plant. First thing I have noticed is that the plants DEFINITELY show accelerated growth after using Co2 just 3 times. I was under a 1000w Sunmaster cool deluxe but this new light puts that light to shame. Eye Hortilux 1000w Super Blue $180 and worth every single penny. I have never seen plants react this way to an indoor light. I just can't say enough about it. Anyways I have been giving straight water for 3 days now and they are recovering from the nute burn that started when I tried to push the nutrient levels. One problem I am having is my clones are not rooting very well although I just got a clonign machine and I am going to switch from Clonex gel to another brand called Rootech. I have heard good things about this one so I will give results as I get them.
