im growing 2 sk#1 there about 5 week 12/12 in soil under 400hps.
the plants are same age and same size, but one has big fluffy white flowers and the other has smaller tighter buds with darker hairs, does anyone know why this may be?.

If they are both in the same conditions and the same environment and with no pics this is a difficult one to answer.
Were they both repotted at the same time?
Has any topping been done?
Is it possible that you have over watered one?
High amounts of nitrogen deposits in one pots soil that need to be flushed out and not enough p and k.?
Try feeding both plants with molasses every week at 1-2 dessert spoons per 3 litres of water.

yes repotted at same time, not topped em, fed with terra flos and terra vegga, not over watered one looks like its just started growing very fast bigger fatter buds, bigger than ive ever grown, cud it be a different strain maybe.

It is possible that you have slightly different and unstable seed,in my exp though over watered weed will fluff out to try exasperate excess moisture to prevent its buds from becoming mouldy

Its my own theory from experience,i don't know if its been written down by anyone before but if they have i haven't read it.
Others disagree with me about this theory but if the bud is compact and tight its very difficult for the plant to lose excess moisture from its buds and will result in bud rot,if the bud is fluffy and light it can exasperate excess moisture easily as the wind and heat can move freely inside and around the bud.

Ive been growing for a long time and this is one of my observations and opinions i have no scientific skills or proof though so i may be wrong(doubtful lol),try it and see

the buds are a different colour, the other plant has a few orange hairs and is much tighter. the one im talking about is pure white, and twice as fluffy, but when these plants were vegging, and were 3 to 4 week into 12/12. you couldnt tell em apart. there skunk #11 i have 5 more in a different grow. there 10 week into 12/12 and none of them were like the plant in question. do you still think its over warering i can normally tell when ive over watered cos the plants droop, i can just tell, i always water every 2 or 3 days when the soil is dry on the top.

Sounds like you have variated plants from an unstable cross,probably.
Without good pics i cant really give you anything other than guesses.
I gave you the water advice just in case.

I only water my plants well twice a week and thats only because of my cupboard being unventilated and a bit hot or i would only flood them once a week,the other days i just give them sips,small amounts of water,my buds are never fluffy regardless of the strain because of this i believe.

This also helps them to produce more resin as they think water is scarce but not so scarce as to be unhealthy,i never spray my plants either as i think this helps to make fluffy buds and can be detrimental or cause burns and calcium deposits and nute deposits on the leafs and buds.
