Hey, i'm wanting to start growing..my closet is 4ft by 4ft and 6ft high....can some of you help me with what light deminsions may use...for quality but safety as well...and should I go with the hydro or soil route seeings though I am a newbie...any and all insight is truly appreciated...

400 hps and if your new to growing id go with soil, and get a feel for growing, b4 you go hydro if you ever want to, . soil is a easy and cheap way to learn how to grow.

i'm in a 3 X 3 and use a 600 watt HPS. it may be a little over-kill. 600 would be a good light. with the proper wiring and ventilation it is safe. i would start out in soil. it is more forgiving and a little easier to manage.
