how to lower the ppm of the res

ive got a 15 gallon container how do i adjust the ppm i have to lower it?

Just add RO water... PPM is parts per million and represents the electronic conductivity of the water biased upon dissolved salts. If you use RO water which has a PPM of 0 you can lower you PPM by diluting the "mixture" there by decreasing the PPM.

If reservoir isn't full add more water. If reservoir is full empty partially and then fill with water.

what if i have hard water water and it has a high ppm ...use the ro..? what is that?

If you have hard water you have to use a Reverse Osmosis water filter which will reduce the ppm to under a 100 usually 0-10.

You can also buy RO water from the store just make sure it says "Reverse Osmosis" and not anything else.

If your tap water is decent (<200ppm) then tap is fine also... R.O. means u need to add cal-mag and other good stuff that gets stripped during R.O.

How does RO differ from distilled? Is distilled not recommended for use?

would you reccommend a small or tall boy for R.o.
