incandescent bulb puts off more heat than anything.
Anyone ever try a reptile light for growing. I have reptiles and have full spectrum lights. any thoughts?
Also I have my first 2 growing and was wondering. They are about 4" tall and are mostly stem with 4 leaves, is that correct?

I have one that my friend let me borrow that he used on his bearded dragon.. Im using it as side light on my best plant I have going.. hoping it's not a male though considering the fact that it dwarfs the others that I started at the same time.
That's a CFL and they do work. What you want to look for is whether or not it gives off a cool blue color, or a warmer redish light. Having a bluer light spectrum is best for vegging them, and red is best once you're budding at 12/12. They usually kick up the UVB levels in reptile bulbs and they can be great as a supplemental light when you're flowering.
