I need help with figuring out a way to cool off this hps light. The thing gets so hot. I'm growing in my bathroom that actually has a window in it. I covered the window because the light is so bright and i dont want neighbors seeing inside the window. I have yet to put the light in the bathroom with my plants. I had it inside of a small closet and the temperature was way too high. i opened the door and immediately started to sweat. im just using fluorescents right now. I plan on hanging the HPS from the roof. Can you please help me with cooling this system down.

What ballast and lamp are you using ? How big is the space you intend to use the light. You are gonna need some mad ventilation and an enclosed reflector.

im not sure on the name of the ballast and the light but the bulb is in a reflector hood and has 2 removable vents for the cool tubes. im growing in a good sized bathroom.

Well best way is to use a sealed reflector with 2 inline fans 1 bringing cool air from outside the grow area and the other on the other side sucking the air from the reflector out of the room and venting it else where
