Default How long do these pistils stay white

Im just trying to figure out when these plants will be ready because winter break starts in two and a half weeks... The estimated flowering time on my plants is 8-10 weeks, yet none of the white pistils (which it is covered in as you can see from some older pics i have up) have started to turn brown yet... They started week 7 about 2 days ago, and both of my two plants have big, thick, crystaly buds on them....

My question is, when do the pistils start turning brown, and with a flowering time like mine, how long after this point will they be ready for harvest, meaning 75% of the hairs have turned brown?

Like, if the start to finsish of pistil-browning takes a few weeks, thats gonna suck pretty bad for me...

    thanks everyone

i actually answered this earlier, i cant tell you when you pistol will start changing color, doubt anyone can, your plant will decide.

i have never harvested so im not an expert but based off the information of the members here and things i have read (ive read shitloads). nothing but water for 2 weeks before harvest. no nutes. most harvest when 80% of pistils are red. depends on the high you want, if you have a microscope you can look at trichomes, if they are all clear it's too early, if they are mostly all cloudy you will susposidly get more of a head/energetic high, if they are mostly all amber you need to harvest, just like witht he pistils, and it gives more of a body/couch potato sleepy high. and of course there is an inbetween i would think if you harvested when you have 50/50 cloudy/amber trichomes. (just using my logic here)

Well, you just finished week six. On an eight-to-ten-week strain, you should see some pistils starting to turn soon. They start slowly with a slight orange tinge on the tips. You may have that now, but have just overlooked it. Get yourself a 30x scope at Radio Shack for around ten bucks and observe the tricomes. When to harvest depends upon your tastes in highs. If the tricomes are still clear, you will get more of a racy head high. Try to hang on as long as possible, without going too far. Lots of strains really pack on the weight during the last two weeks.
