Default Aquaponics with roots in water but using a jiffy cube on the surface?

Ok so I am having a pretty successfull first grow in soil few more weeks n harvest is ready.
I have been contemplating the idea of doing aquaponics but I heard the yield was low in marijuana plants because of the lack of nutes needed for flowering the cannabis.
So I think I may have inadvertantly solved the problem. use a jiffy cube to start your seedlings, get some sort of stabilizing container to keep the jiffy cube a little above the surface ( stryfoam cardboard etc) of the water, let the roots wade in the water along with the fishes. Then during flowering you still have an option to add the sufficient nutrients to the jiffy cube, and the nutrients wouldnt touch the water because the root's would absorbe all the nutes. I guess in tomatoe growing the yeild is way high cus tomatoes dont use the same nutrients as cannabis so I think this may be a solution anyhow im gonna try it soon as my seeds are germinated.

I don't know what aquaponics is or where you are getting your information, but lots of hydro growers here get amazing yields. Consider the simple dwc method in the link below.

Aquaponics is a hydro setup with no nutes. Fish actaully live in the water. I saw it about 10 yrs ago.

Yes the problem with aquaponics is getting the required nutrients during flowering however I may have come up with an easier alternative just foiler spray the nutrients during flowering and thus your fish wont die, there no problem with aquaponics during vegging as far as flowering most switch back to hydro. I think I have found the answer with foiler spraying nuted during flowering Ill let ya guys know what happens when my seeds come. I think I may have fond my calling now everyone who lives in Washington vote yes on novembers legalization bill, then we can finally buy houses n cars n such.

Misting budding plants doesn't sound like a good idea, not something I would consider unless it was for bugs.
