Wiring

I have a light fixture that Im not using and it can hold three bulbs. The only thing is that it has wires coming out instead of a plug. Is there anyway to cut off the plug of something im not using, and splice these bad boys up? I dont really want to pull wires out of the wall for this.

Yeah, that's exactly what I did, however it's not recommended especially if you don't know what you're doing.

Ok, hes not online .... does anyone else know what the wiring diagram is to do this? And do I need resistors or something?

Buy a small extension cord with a three prong plug(I bought one in Target for like $5), cut off the end without the 3-prong plug. Connect the black to black, the white to white and the bare wire (ground) to the ground on the cord(usually green) insulate each wire, with electrical tape or connectors and them wrap the 3 wires together, done!

But on the extension cord, there is a black, a white and a ground. And on the light, there is 2 black wires.

then there isn't a ground for the light.. the positive is the black wire and negative is the white wire; on the light I don't think it matters but if it doesn't turn on then it's probably not wired right.
