Question Rock wool . . .

Hello, yesterday I went to my hydro shop and I bought my rockwool and my net pots. I have to wait until I get more money for the pump wich is $25, and then the fertilizer $55. Then the only other thing I need is a PH tester and an EC tester and the lighting. What PH should I soak my rockwool in, and for how long? I am going to go with a digital ballast at 400 watts maybe 600. Is it okay to use HPS bulbs throughout the plants whole life? Or should I do MH during growth and HPS during flowering? Sorry for all the questions.

Hey there... fuck, i forgot what i was going to say.

From the info' you give I'm assuming you're growing DWC (bubbler). You don't need to pre-soak the rockwool, unless you intend to start from seed.

You need to soak the rockwool overnight in 6.0 water.

Oh yeah, you're sweet with a hps all the way through.

Alright. I am doing it aeroponic. I am starting them out by seeds. I guess I will go with a 600 watt HPS then. How many plants can I grow under a 600 watt HPS?
