So how are you growing then? You either grow in dirt or use rockwool in net pots for flood and drain, aeroponics, bubble ponics or dwc.So which setup are you using. Cnat just grow in rockwool and water them like a soil grow????Most hydro types use ph at 5.8-6 max in your res

I'm no rockwool grower, but those are tiny 1cm cube rockwool cubes. I've seen them down the hyrdro shop.....use them in big pots like soil and you can water them manually becuase you use large containers, so they hold more mositure for longer.

You need to provide the nurtients yourself as the rockwool has no nutrional value for the plants. I think you want to be watering at PH 5.5 - 6.0, but I'm sure a more experienced hydro grower will confirm, plus, do some reading up on growing in rockwool....there's loads of good info.

You should check out Arjen's greenhouse seed co. videos on YouTube. They grow in this stuff and give you info on their feeding schedules etc.....could be useful for you. They use like 45l containers to grow in....fucking amazing plants!

There was a post on here yesterday that makes me think this may actually work as well or better than flood and drain. If I knew how to link it I would. It was about organic growing in Hydro. Fellow says the top 1/3 of the root system is the part that uses the nutrients the bottom 2/3 distribute water.
Before I had my tables all setup, I used this 'modified' flood and drain. I hooked a water line to a pump that was in nute solution water and 'flooded' the plants for a 5 second count, and let 'em drain over the next two or three days with flock rock wool as the medium. Now that I'm thinking about it I may go back to it for my clones for a few weeks and see if I notice a difference.
If you are going to do this, and if you used a 'block of rockwool to start it before putting it in the flock rockwool, do not water right around the center. Make the roots grow out of the block looking for water. The 'blocks' retain more water then the flock does. VV
