Well I just learned the horrible truth my 3 WW's are all MALES and I have nothing else to continue with this strain. I have one FEMALE crap bag seed that smells ok but this plant has been the subject of ALOT of experiments.

If I seed the female will I ever be left with a decent strain ? Will the new seeds always have traits of both plants OR will some seeds be WW and others crap ? Maybe they will have traits of both and be dominant in one.

What is everyones suggestion here ? I honestly do not want to order seeds again right now.

I know I want to collect some pollen for sure so I can cross the widow with some good seed down the road.

Sorry bout that guy........ I think it's best to get as much as you can from the female. Pollen will only last 3-5 days. How long till harvest?

I am under the impression that pollen can be taken and stored for long periods of time. Miles away from harvest the 4 plants are just begining to show sex. Here is a shot at 37 days since I started germinating them, so depressing.

What do you think about using the blender/ice method to try and make some hash out of the 2 male plants ?

maybe try collecting it and freezing it until your girls are slutted up enough to take it (lol)...it's worth some kind of try you don't want your WW to go to waste

Depends how many seeds you want dude, your gonna get shit loads if you wait longer. Not that thats a bad thing You could possibly end up with some good smoke....

BUMP - Need some other opinions here LOTS of them...

We have to have a few breeders here that can make some suggestions for saving this strain. I have cut down two WW males and they are hanging in the garage. I left the best looking WW male in the room with bag seed female still waiting for advice.

The only thing you could probably do to breed the ww into that strain and get a more dominant widow variation would be to use your pollen you have now on your bag seed female. Clone the males and then every generation add a bit more widow its a long ass way of doing things as opposed to spending 50 bucks on some more.

If you wanna smoke the widow, your gonna need to buy some more otherwise your in for a long wait before you get some real widow out of it.

The cross you make could be alright, but there will be a lot of variation in the plants, you may get some good ones and you may get some poor ones, its all going to depend upon the conditions when you breed them.

Sounds like you are implying that the seed produced in the cross will be primary the females traits. Or will it just be a matter of finding the WW in new the seed ?

My plan was to take seed (method undecided); Start 30 in rockwool then to party cups; At 3-4 inches try to find the ones that most resembled the WW from the original grow. <--- Is that just crazy thinking ?

What do you know about taking pollen and how it stores ?

Sad the one plant that is going to produce bud has been through hell. I used her to practice and test everything. Guess I better stop trying to kill this one and get a little smoke while I plan for a recovery.

$50.00 is not the problem its getting it here. I wasnt growing the first time I ordered seeds, different story today. We will figure something out. Anything else you can add would be great.

crossing a good with a bad makes a kinda good. you would only be lessening the quality of the genetics. order the seeds and have them sent anywhere. no one gets busted ordering seeds. try to "save" the WW by crossing it with crap seed won't work. you may get lucky but for the most part it's just not worth it.
