Default how far away should my light be??

i am trying to grow my first plant in a small hydro system i made using a plastic coffee tin, some plastic tubing ,air stone,pump, hydroton,and a rockwoll cube. i have a 65 watt gro light from crappy tire.. how far away can it be from my plant?

not very hott at all. like 25% warmer than a 60 watt kitchen light maybe.

no it looks like a flood light.its got a blue film over it. they say they are for plant grow but they are just cheap like 7$. i dunno how close it should be to it

get the bigest 1's they got and it can be like an 1 inch away... there is alota good threads on cfls in the indoor forum "sub fourm-cfl growing" ull get better answers from there then me

Lights should be as close as possible.

If its too warm for your hand, its too warm for the plant.
