Hey there everyone. First time grower here ready for some constructive criticism and maybe a few tips on what I could be doing better.

Setup isn't much. Some bagseed in some Miracle Grow soil. Water is from tap and left to sit out for a couple days before use. 2x32 watt 6500k cfl bulbs. No nutes yet, they're 3 weeks old.

The plants look ok, however the soil looks a little woody. I would change the soil to one that has a combination of perlite/vermiculite/peat moss.

First off, its about time to repot into something a bit larger - say 3-4 gallon.
If you must use MG, then you will not need to get too frisky with the nutes - the soil has most everything already. Towards flowering you will want to add something with some P in it (bat guano comes to mind). Allowing the tap water to stand a couple days is a very good move - how's your PH? You can easily call your local public water supply facility & they should be able to tell you your PH, but if you pick up one of the digitals it takes out all the guess work.
I like lots of light so I might pick up a couple more fixtures.
They look pretty stout so I'm guessing you have a fan on them - good move.
They look happy - keep it up.

i dont know how many times i have to recommend a bigger pot but it seems like i do it every other post.. lol.. do it man it will help a lot with many issues including over-watering which is what your plant is, over-watered.

more light would help a lot... homedepot has 65w 2700k for 15$ each and reflector for 7 dollars(you may need a medium base extender, so you can screw in completely. they produce 4200 lumes and you can put them close to the plants ( 6-8inches) as they do not generate much heat as all

Hey, I am a first time grower as well. I made a huge mistake thinking I could handle 10 at one time...man o man...rough, but so far they are alive. Anyways, how can you tell by his picture that they are over watered? I think I am over watering as well. Any help in that area or any other area as far as growing would be great. Thanks lots in advance.

Definitely recommend a larger pot…

More light would be ideal, with those CFL they don’t really produce ambient heat so you can let the plant grow within inches (3”-4”) of the light.

Have you thought about LST (Low-Stress Training)???

They appear to be over watered due to the droop in the leaves. When leaves appear limp like that, it is usually too much water.

More lights are definitely at the top of my list. I'm just a college student barely making it by so $15 for a light bulb is rough for me, lol.

LST was also on my list, but what would be the best way to go about doing that?

As for the bigger pot, again, extra money comes into play. I just got a new job though so money will be coming in soon. Better believe my first paycheck is going mostly towards the plant.

And what about GH's flora series for flowering stage? Would it be too much with the MG soil?

If you want to start Low-Stress Training them i would wait till you have about 4th nodes to establish a good root foundation

the purpose of LST is to keep your plant short and controllable, but also distributing the light evenly across the canopy causing all the buds to turn into huge ass colas
