Default Probem with my soil maybe?
I watered my seedlings today and my soil has always tended to shift a little when I watered them probably from being loose, but it was my understanding that I shouldn't pack the soil down into the pot. Anyways, when I watered them this morning, about three of my seedlings fell over when the water loosened up the soil. Although I stood them back up and gave them support from soil and know they are not dead, I'd like to know what I maybe did wrong to cause this and what I can do now to prevent it. This is my first grow ever and my seedlings are about six days old and look very healthy. Please help me! I don't want to lose my babies already after they've given me so much hope for a successful grow!

You need to pack the soil down to some extent, so it will keep air pockets out. put your fingers around the seedlings on top of the soil, with the stem in between your fingers, and push down and compress the soil. If needed add a little bit more soil around the stem to support it. hope this helps!

try watering with a spray bottle. its will not disturb the top soil as much compared to pouring the water in with a cup.

i water with water bottles, so I just put my thumb over the top and its a pretty good filter for it. especially for seedlings.
