Hi, I am a new grower that decided to start with a drip system to veg my white widow seedlings. they are around two weeks old. germinated in 1" rockwool then placed in 4" cubes. they are fed by a drip 3x a day for 2 minutes each time. I have a 400watt MH conversion bulb 18" above the plants on a 18/6 light cycle. the reservoir that feeds them is filled with 20 gal of 1/4 strength GH Floragrow 3 part nutrients. after the first week in the new rip setup I've noticed the new growth coming from the center of the seedlings is yellow. Is this normal? today i shortened the frequency of the watering to 2x a day at 1 minute each time. any advice is greatly appreciated.

Whats your PH?
Whats your temp at the tops of the plants?

Anyhow, you should put your MH 25-35" away from the plants at this stage.

PH is around 6.5ish and temp during light is from 77-82 and 68-73 at night. I moved the light up to 28"...we'll see what happens....thanks

Optimal PH Range is 5.5 - 6.5, I would shoot for more at 6.0. I would probably recommend peroxide if your resovoir smells like an aquarium, Peroxide at certain doses are helpful to the res to kill harmful bacteria and slow algae growth. I would recommend keeping temperature a little bit higher, and remember, cannabis thrives in warmer temps 80-85, and as long as airflow is maintained, the plant can grow more rapidly, but always try and keep resovoir temps down to like 68 degrees. i will lower PH.... The whole set up is brand new. they are babies that just came from the small tray with the humidity dome...this is the first time I filled the rez...so the water and nutes are only 9 days old.

you should usually change a rez every week.
if you got some water pump to just circulate the water and your rez is air-proof it might last a few days longer. if it isn't it might be needing more frequent changing.

Now the plants have a good root system get them on full nutrients the yellowing will be caused either by nitrogean def or there screming out for more nutes in the feed.I use a nft system to get all my clones going but then always transfer to soil and once the clones have a few roots showing the plants get full regiment of veg nutrients.Once my seedling have got there first set of true leaves they also get full nutrients too.
