Just gotta say its not a good idea.

You not gonna be able to grow any good bud in a dorm. I don't know how are you going to explain your energy bill. If you don't get proper lighting, your buds not gonna grow and ull get like an 1/8 or 2 per plant.

Not to mention if you get caught there goes you who tuition which is much more than a ounces... I dont know about your school but mines like 16 grand a semester... not counting housing, books, ect.

Growing good bud takes patients, and effort, which I dont think you'll be able to provide in a dorm no matter how luxury it is...

Also, what are you gonna do about the smell even if the box is stealth. You going to end up spending more money than the ammount of weed is worth your going to grow.

I know you think it will probably be safe but when your in a dorm everyone knows each others business and you run the chance of someone else snitching on you or stealing your shit, ect ect..

There are tooo many risks involved I would say, your better off just getting an apartment or house next semester.

Your better off just buying an ounce and save yourself all the hastle. That being said, I'm in college and growing but I have an apartment off campus and I have proper equipment and the other factors I mentioned.. Goodluck if you attempt it

16 grand a semester? holy fuck dude, my tuition is less than 250 euro a semster ._. Plus an ounce here would cost me about 3 times the price opf the equipment i need to do my thing so :P Also, i have a big tolerance margin on how much electricity i am allowed a month, plus cfl are economic lights and 2 12v fans won`t increase the power consumption too much. BUT if (big if) i did go overboard, all i`d have to do is pay a little extra, no problem Smellwise, i`ve allready decided to use a DIY carbon filter which users testify that it works, it masks odour well. Oh and LOL at someone stealing my stuff. Dude, once i get going NO ONE comes into my room other than me and my roomie (and cleaning ladies on thurs if i want to) and no one else will know about it. It`s not your regular dorm, it`s a hottel basically.

Ok and now for an overdue set of pics. This is the dresser i`ll be doing it all in. It`s about 60cm wide, 50cm deep and 2m tall. The doors close pretty neatly, not much light gets through at all, easy to cover and the back is all white (great!)

The way i want it set up is the pot on the bottom, with a fan in the back(white) wall, blowing air on it and the outtake fan with the carbon filter up a bit higher, maybe 3-4 feet upwards. Still not sure how to put the 3 cfls yet so that they`ll be clost to the plant, they`ll stay still and they`ll not be so close to the walls that they`ll burn the wood or whatever i decide to cover the walls with.


Also worth mentioning is that be it nirvana`s or the post office`s fault, my payment is still not confirmed by nirvana, 2 weeks after sending the cash they are still "waiting for payment" I have just about lost all hope they`ll send me my stuff. I`m counting more on a friend sharing a seed or 2 with me now rather than hoping things with my order get resolved. What a ripoff

some fire in the dorm, but in all honesty & probability unless your college dorm & room mate
are worlds apart from the rest of the nations college kids someone's going to find out.

wow only a dollar a square foot? i had no idea, i'm going to get some.

remember to think about if and when your gonna want to leave town, it's not a good idea to leave plants unattended but maybe you and you roomy could vacation in shifts. i actually have to do that, i get thanksgiving and my wife gets christmas. get a drill and some some y-splitter sockets, you'll figure something that works out, but i suggest making a non-attached beam that holds the y splitters and drill separate supports into the cabinet so it's easy to move. get a soldering gun and its necessary components, wire positive to positive and negative to negative its really hard to fuck up.

Good news, my order has just been confirmed payed by Nirvana and i am now eagerly, VERY EAGERLY awaiting my pretty little package i`m so freaking happy, i had lost all hope i`d get my kit. I`m at home now and just this morning my roomie phoned me to ask about our order and i told him "No man, sorry, still waiting for payment ". Then 10 minutes later when i checked i had to phone him back and give him this good news . Things are finally moving along, huzzah for that!

good to hear that nirvana sent those seeds. I can't wait to see this setup finally get going! you should consider going with small plants. I have a mini fridge grow so height is a big deal for me, i only veg for 14 days under 6500k cfl lighting (4 26 watters to be specific). after the short veg switch those cfl bulbs to 2700k for flowering: this will be about 7 weeks and your plants will be roughly 1.5 feet to 2.5 feet. You can also TOP your plant to get more top colas (im sure you knew this) but check out Uncle Ben's topping method (highly recommended). hope any of this can help someone out there! gotta spread the knowledge after my first successful grow in the mini fridge!!!

veg for 14 days? that`s from a clone i suppose, it sounds far too little from seed to flowering O_O but i`m still a newbie. I`m glad to hear about your grow though, it`s cool that you did well what did you grow?
Thanks for the rest of the info as well. Nirvana describes bubblelicious as a plant with low grow height, so i should be good, but i`ll keep your advice in mind, cheers.

But................. i`ve still not gotten my seeds :/ thanks to Nirvana`s shipping policy of sending the seeds separate from the rest of the order, i have recieved my soiltabs but am still waiting for the grow kit and ESPECIALLY the seeds >< Unfortunately, i`m way late because of the slowness of the whole operation which means i can`t go home for the holidays and will have to stay in my college city to take care of my grow ¬_¬ Too bad, but it`s a sacrifice that needs to be made.

And since i`m on this topic, i will need to be home for about 3 days on Christmas. I need some advice on how to proceed with the grow while i`m gone.
My plan is this: i will veg under 18\6, water every 3 days. While i am gone i`ll switch it to 24hrs light and give it just a little bit more water than normal. Just a little cause i don`t want to risk rotting the roots.
The questions i have

• is it ok to switch the light cycles like this?
• as long as the plant is mature enough, can i switch to 12\12 when i come back?
• will the plant be ok w\o nutrients and water for 3, possibly 4 days?
• have i left something out\not thought of something?
