camo question (almost busted)

I have a few plants growing in my backyard...last week I was working on my car in the back,heard a noise,looked up, and a COP was walking towards me!!! I met him halfway...he stated that he got an alarm call from my alarm co (I didn't even set the alarm) then said that they get a lot of false alarms when the temp gets high. The one time in a million I didn't have my cell with me (the alarm co always calls me first)...If I wasn't home he prolly would have found my plants (or at least smell them)!!!! turns out it was legit (I had 2 missed calls from the co. on my cell)
My question is..has anyone ever hung those plastic red peppers or plastic tomatoes from their branches for camo? and does it look realistic?...also does anyone have any other methods? THANKS!!

I dunno I think that would draw attention more than anything... the human eye picks the color red out of anything. If you have a wall of foliage it is much less noticeable... I know you're a little paranoid but most people don't scan bushes looking for marijuana.

I guess you're right. They are next to some tomatoes I have growing...I may just let the weeds grow around everything and let everything blend together...Thanks!
