I always say I'm growing tomatoes, but when offered a product I don't want or that they recomend I politely refuse and ignore. Well that, or when they first walk up to me and say "Can I help you?" I politely say "No, thank you." and walk away.

Try living in South Africa I can't find a HID or any advanced lighting set up anywhere on top of that I have power cuts every now and then my first plant starting flowering even tho my lights were on 24/7 now thats some annoying shit

LOL....went into H.D. to look for non-toxic spidermite killer. The guy goes "Yeah, sometimes I have plants that get spidermites too!" I did'nt know what to say. I jst looked at him and walked away.

Or she likes to keep tabs on customers for the next time she gets cued. I suggest you know what your buying before you go in the store. When she asks if she can help just say no thank you.

The hydro shop I go to is chill and everything is understood. We speak of resin glands in our fruiting/flowering room, everything is always in very broad terms, never specific.

I have experienced the situation the OP describes with "garden stores" and have purchased crap I didnt need because of paranoia...and looking back on it I lmao.

I just go to the hydro store for everything now.
