The more inter-nodes on a plant the better it blooms... (an the more it can produce)

hey guyz...i have 5 plants at different locations of the tray that have deformed leaves...original leaves had a lot of ridges on the edges of a 5 set structure...new growth has smooth sides on the leaves and its 1 or 3 set leaves...Any help is greatly appreciated
