Default Fertilizer around the house?

What are some things that I can put on my plants to help them grow? I've heard of egg shells and milk, but what else is there?

Also I am growing outdoors.

It may not be around the house, but compost is your best and cheapest bet If you don't want to spend much, Wormcastings are also a great/cheap source of Nitrogen.

Well worm casting arent cheap compared to buying ferts, I have to get 50lb bags to buy em at $1 a # otherwise a 3# bag is 5.99

You wanna put money into nutes, cheap may get you less than desired.

Worm castings are great, but no where near enough on their own. And milk? I never heard, you might not wanna do that might attract bugs.
