ok so im trying to grow at home in a cupboard lol got no bigger space. iv lined the cupboard with tin foil and im trying to grow with a 9w fluorescent bulb. i know its not gd enough but its all i cud get. what lights do i need? how do i install them into the cupboard and is it even possible to grow like this?

Being all you could get doesn't make it enough. it isn't nearly enough. You need a minimum of 100 w actual, more in flower.

its very possible to grow in a cupboard... as illegal smile says you need more light or its not even going to be worth your time to attempt this grow. Also lose the tin foil, get on ebay there is a material like mylar (.002m) that is thinner and just as reflective,polyproplyn (.001m), and it only cost $6.95... get some more CFLs... read the CFL FAQ, and that u are using such a small space youll want to produce small plants... you should check out the 12/12 from seed thread... here are some pics of my clones that were 12/12 all the way.. the tallest one is about 16 inches including the container... sorry kind of fuzzy

thanks. im trying to grow arjans haze 2 and apparently it grows quite high is there a way i can get it to grow shorer? also the light socket im using is from a lamp so its a small screw bulb is there any sort of bulb i can get for it that will b good enough to grow?

Hey Bud, where did you find a 9 watt bulb?? I didn't know they made them that small! You could go to:
www.cfluniverse.com , they have high output cfl's from 55 to 200 watts. A 4-pack of 65 watt daylite's would cost you $60.
They have the best pricing around for cfl's. The rule of thumb for lighting would be approx. 7,000 lumens per sq.ft. of grow area. The 65 watt cfl's are 4,000 lumens. Good luck & good grow.......BB

thanks for the tips. have ordered a blue spectrum light 125w cfl. when shud i switch to a red spectrum bulb? is the blue just for vegging or can i useit to flower too?

Go to the red spectrum when you start your flower cycle. FYI, they make a red/blue combo cfl that will cover the entire life of your girls. Good luck & good grow......BB

if you go 12/12 all the way your plants arent gonna get that big anyway... you should also check out the LST (low stress training) thread you can get a lot of bud off a small plant this way... good luck
